Falcons' Freeman still limited in practice, expected to play

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is expected to play against Carolina even after being limited in practice for the third straight day.

Freeman was on Atlanta's injury report with a neck and shoulder problem early in the week. The description was changed to an abdomen and shoulder injury on the Thursday and Friday reports.

Even though Freeman wore a non-contact jersey again Friday, coach Dan Quinn says he expects the running back to play. Quinn says the team "just left it at his locker by accident after the first day" and added with a laugh that Freeman "likes how it looked."

Freeman's injury could create more playing time for backup Tevin Coleman.

Quinn says linebacker Duke Riley (knee) is the only player ruled out for Sunday's game.
