Grains higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec. delivery was up 1 cent at $4.19 a bushel; Dec corn gained 1.20 cents 3.4940 a bushel; December oats was unchanged at $2.7140 a bushel while Nov. soybeans was up 3.60 cents at $9.8460 a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was down .48 cent at $1.2613 a pound; November feeder cattle was down .50 cent at $1.5920 a pound; December lean hogs lost 1.18 cents at $.6543 a pound.
