Grains lower, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec. delivery was down 3.40 cents at $4.40 a bushel; Dec corn lost .60 cent 3.4920 a bushel; December oats lost 3 cents at $2.48 a bushel while Nov. soybeans was 1.20 cents higher at $9.7340 a bushel.

Beef mixed and pork was mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was up .33 cent at $1.1135 a pound; October feeder cattle was down .20 cent at $1.5375 a pound; October lean hogs was up .30 cent at $.5948 a pound.
