Village workers' efforts are noticed, appreciated

Through the past week of severe flooding, families in distress and a multitude of miserable traffic situations, I've witnessed my local village officials and employees at their best.

From police helping motorists, firemen getting residents out of flooded homes and village employees sending out daily (often more) communication updates on the status of roads and available assistance, the village of Grayslake handled this disaster situation admirably.

The cleanup isn't over but village crews are out and the multitude of debris will soon be a thing of the past. A sincere thank you to all of the Grayslake village employees and officials. Your immediate attention to the situation as the storms rolled through and hard work to assist our residents does not go unseen.
