Lorenzi, Rublev advance to final at Croatia Open

UMAG, Croatia (AP) - Fourth-seeded Paolo Lorenzi of Italy and lucky loser Andrey Rublev of Russia reached the final of the Croatia Open on Saturday.

In an all-Italian semifinal, Lorenzi knocked out Alessandro Giannessi 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. Lorenzi seeks his second ATP title.

After winning the first set, Lorenzi wasted a 4-2 lead in the second. He enjoyed a more commanding lead in the decisive set at 5-2 and waltzed in.

The 19-year-old Rublev eliminated local wild card Ivan Dodig 7-6 (4), 6-1 in his first career semifinal to play for a title for the first time.
