Lady Vols' nonconference foes include Stanford, ND, Texas

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee visits 2017 Final Four participant Stanford and NCAA Tournament regional finalist Notre Dame as part of the Lady Volunteers' 2017-18 nonconference schedule.

The Lady Vols released their nonconference schedule Thursday.

Home nonconference opponents are East Tennessee State (Nov. 12), James Madison (Nov. 15), Wichita State (Nov. 20), Central Arkansas (Nov. 30), Alabama State (Dec. 3), Troy (Dec. 6) and Texas (Dec. 10).

The Lady Vols visit Long Beach State (Dec. 17), Stanford (Dec. 21) and Notre Dame (Jan. 18).

Tennessee also will face Marquette (Nov. 23), Oklahoma State (Nov. 24) and South Dakota (Nov. 25) in the Cancun Challenge.

Tennessee's Southeastern Conference schedule includes two games with reigning national champion South Carolina plus a home matchup with 2017 NCAA runner-up Mississippi State. Dates for SEC games haven't been released.
