New Dist. 15 board: Change is up to you

I'm glad the new District 15 board is finally in place though unfortunately not all members were replaced. It is not possible to do any worse than the previous board and what a nightmare it has been watching events with this board.

The board president has acted like this board is her own private club. How pathetic to appoint someone who just lost an election to that board. How pathetic that no one on the board stood up to this behavior despite public and media opposition to it. How pathetic to apply and accept an appointment to a board when voters rejected that person.

This all follows the letter of the law but not what is in the best interest of the district - which was a low priority before. Board members are supposed to have a duty of care and a duty of loyalty to the organization, not to themselves.

Please, new members of the board, take this board in a different direction than it has gone the past 4-5 years. Unfortunately, you still have to deal with a superintendent who has been a part of this fiasco for another few years. I hope you can turn this around.
