Microchip, vaccine clinic in Vernon Hills

Vernon Hills police will host a pet vaccination and microchip clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29, at the village public works facility, 490 Greenleaf Drive. The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted under the pet's skin, usually between the shoulder blades. Cost is $15 per pet, cash only. For an added fee, pet owner can register for services, such as 24-hour notification, with Home Again, the chip provider. All animals must be at least 4 months old.
