Benet, St. Francis, Neuqua Valley win

Benet 7-11, St. Viator 6-1:

The Redwings (10-3, 2-0) swept in the East Suburban Catholic, pulling out the opener by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh. After Game 2 winning pitcher Mike Dunn singled in the tying run, Brandon Gorz, who went 3-for-4, drove in the winning run. Matt Moloney was the winning pitcher in relief. Marty Dosen went 3-for-4 with a triple and homer in Game 2.

St. Francis 5, Fenwick 3:

Winning pitcher Nick Kosmetatos had 2 hits for the Spartans (4-6, 2-1) in the Chicago Catholic League victory. Tanner Spinks added 2 hits.

Neuqua Valley 12, Waubonsie Valley 2:

The Wildcats (13-0-1) scored 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the DuPage Valley game. Noah Herdman went 3-for-4 with a home run while Jack Rigoni also had 3 hits with a double and triple. Winning pitcher Justin Hicks scattered 7 hits. Connor Yukna, Chris Ralph and Alex Schram had 2 hits for Waubonsie Valley (8-5, 4-4).

WW South 11, Glenbard North 3:

A 6-run top of the fourth powered the DuPage Valley win for the Tigers (6-8, 3-5). Patrick McGarry and Griffen Pschigoda homered while Ryan Simak went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI. Winning pitcher Caleb Larson struck out eight in 6 innings. Zach Heck, Nick Frawley and Guissepie Riggio had 2 hits for Glenbard North (5-9, 1-7).

Metea Valley 13, Naperville Central 7:

The Mustangs (4-7, 2-5) took control with a 6-run second inning, then pulled away with a 5-run fifth. Jason Kirchner and Matt Vass homered while Jake Kmiecik drove in 3 runs. Kyle Bennington went 3-for-4 with a home run for Naperville Central (8-5, 4-4).

Willowbrook 10, Hinsdale Central 5:

Kyle Ferguson went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and Ben Espinoza went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for the Warriors (9-1). Jack Nilles was the winning pitcher in relief. Tyler Jurack went 2-for-4 for Hinsdale Central (7-2).

Lake Park 14, Raby 1:

The Lancers (6-5) scored all their runs in the first two innings. Thomas Ross went 3-for-3 while Anthony DeConcilis, Rory Marino and A.J. Dallmann had 2 hits apiece. Ryan Behling and Mike Kukula combined on the mound.

Addison Trail 6, Downers North 3:

Ricky Perez and Trevor Fulmer each went 1-for-2 with 2 RBI for the Blazers (4-5). Matt Crandall went 2-for-2. Fulmer was the winning pitcher, striking out nine in 6 innings. A.J. Parnell worked out of trouble in the seventh to earn the save.

Timothy Christian 4-19, Guerin 3-4:

Jimmy Allen, who had 4 RBI, hit for the cycle in the second game as the Trojans (9-2), trailing 3-2, exploded for 16 runs in the second inning. Winning pitcher Brian Schiff doubled, homered and drove in 6 runs. Joey Davidson went 3-for-4 with a homer and 3 RBI. Timothy Christian won the opener by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth.
