MCC to offer free car care class for women April 22

McHenry County College will host a free car care class for women from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, in Room D164 at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

In addition to basic vehicle maintenance, such as how to jump a battery and change a tire and check fluids, MCC automotive instructors will give tips on purchasing vehicles and what to know when bringing a vehicle to a shop or dealership for repairs.

Attendees will receive a complimentary book on basic car care, maintenance and repair. Instructors include Mike Albamonte, MCC automotive technology department chair, MCC automotive technology instructor Nate Kivley.

Refreshments and continental breakfast will be provided.
