Kids hit the pool for Schaumburg egg hunt

There's no shortage of egg hunts conducted on dry land, but more than 200 kids got wet Thursday night while looking for the colorful treasures in Schaumburg.

The Schaumburg Park District held its annual Underwater EGGstravaganza in the zero-depth pool at the Water Works.

The event, which has been conducted for 15 years, is open to children 1 and older who collect the plastic eggs and exchange them for goodies.

They also enjoyed games, refreshments and music from a DJ.
