West Aurora High to put on 'Guys and Dolls' April 27-29

West Aurora High School Drama Troupe 2013 will be presenting their spring musical "Guys and Dolls" at 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, April 27-29, in the school auditorium, 1201 W. New York St. in Aurora.

Tickets at $10 are now available for purchase at sd129tickets.org. A limited amount will be sold at the door.

The show follows gambler Nathan Detroit, who is struggling to find a location for his big craps game. After finding a location that requires a payment of one thousand dollars to use, he decides to bet his best friend, Sky Masterson, that Sky cannot get the virtuous and refined Sarah Brown to go out on a date with him. Despite a bit of resistance, Sky manages to get Sarah to agree to a date in exchange for bringing people into her mission. Meanwhile, Nathan's longtime fiancee, Adelaide, is pressuring him to finally commit to marrying her.

The show is directed by Ken Ruffalo, with choral direction from Liz Hutchinson and assistant directing by Jen Pauley, John Proczko, and Sherry Becker; pit ensemble led by Morgan Lanahan; stage crew led by Sean Tait; choreography by Lindsay Cirrincione; auditorium management by Todd Mielcarz.
