'Scrooge,' 'Sex with Strangers' part of Citadel Theatre 2017-18 season

Citadel Theatre in Lake Forest has announced its 2017-18 season. The lineup features:

• "Light Up the Sky" (Sept. 29-Oct. 29): Moss Hart's classic 1948 Broadway comedy about an opening night party that goes awry.

• "Scrooge and the Ghostly Spirits" (Nov. 17-Dec. 22): Douglas Post's world premiere musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."

• "Sex with Strangers" (Feb. 2-March 4): Laura Eason's two-character drama, which had its world premiere at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre in 2011, deals with a blogger who posts online about his intimate encounters.

• "The Explorer's Club" (April 27-May 27): Nell Benjamin's 2013 off-Broadway comedy deals with a woman who wants to join an eccentric British men's club, and was recently staged by Chicago's Windy City Playhouse.
