Make your bid at Woodlands Academy's Congé fundraiser

Some rare opportunities to enjoy the Wrigley Field experience this season highlight the variety of items up for bid during the live auction portion of Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart's 44th annual Congé fundraiser Saturday, April 29, at the Glen View Club, 100 Golf Road, Golf.

It all begins with cocktails and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the program, including the live auction, and then a nightcap called Après Soirée - a mix of coffee, desserts, liqueurs and improv - at 10 p.m.

Cubs fans will be able to celebrate the team's 2016 World Series championship in some unique ways by bidding on items such as a tour of Wrigley Field's famous vintage scoreboard, a look inside the Cubs' new clubhouse that opened at the beginning of last season, a skybox experience for 15 people, and a session with official Cubs photographer Steve Green.

Other live auction highlights include a Blackhawks or Bulls executive suite experience; a Blackhawks locker room tour, plus two tickets to a 2017-18 regular season game; a Montana getaway vacation; and tickets to Bruno Mars' United Center concert in August.

The silent auction will feature many more Cubs mementos, including a Cubs jersey signed by Anthony Rizzo, among the variety of other items such as sports tickets and memorabilia; golf outings; group parties such as a Ravinia picnic at the John Legend concert or a tour of the Art Institute of Chicago; and tickets for the Chicago production of "Hamilton," the Lyric Opera's production of "My Fair Lady" and the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Congé tickets for the event are $200 each and can be purchased online at www.bidpal.net/conge17. In addition, online bids for some of the silent auction items can be made on this website during the week before the April 29 event.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available as another way of supporting Woodlands Academy's mission of educating young women in transformative ways on its Lake Forest campus.

Congé, derived from the French word for "play date," is one of the major fundraising events supported annually by the Woodlands Academy Parent Association, Alumnae Parents Connection and local alumnae.
