Police seek man who grabbed cash from Naperville store

The Walgreens at the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Raymond Drive in Naperville was the target of a strong-armed robbery Wednesday morning, authorities said.

A white man in his 20s wearing a black hoodie robbed the store of cash about 9:30 a.m., but didn't show a weapon, Naperville police Cmdr. Lou Cammiso said.

No one was injured in the robbery and police believe the suspect has left the area.

Cammiso said police do not believe the robbery is connected to any other crimes, but their investigation is ongoing. Officers are reviewing surveillance images, but they do not yet have a further description of the suspect.

In a message sent to subscribers of the city's Naper Notify service, police encouraged the public to remain calm and comply with all demands to protect their personal safety if ever present during a robbery.
