Boutique Show Supports Refugee Artisans

In a time when hundreds of thousands of families have been displaced across the globe, many desire to do something meaningful to support refugees forced to flee their homeland because of war, political conflict or persecution. That opportunity is coming to Glen Ellyn.

On Saturday, May 6 from 1-4 pm in downtown Glen Ellyn, S.O.A.R. will be hosted at Re:new Store and Studio (483 North Main Street). Ripplenpo.org strives to bridge the gap between intention and action. We understand that most people would like to contribute to social and community causes in a personal and meaningful way. Often, the only hindrance to these good intentions is knowing the how, why and where their resources can best be used. That's where we come in. By partnering with a few carefully selected organizations, we aim to provide the most effective and long-lasting altruistic experience for our volunteers and the charities we support. This means we focus on small, local efforts that can directly impact each needy individual, and allow our volunteers to develop a lifelong friendship and relationship with those people they seek to mentor or help in any way.
