Youth Conservation Corps
Applications are being accepted for the Youth Conservation Corps, a summer program designed to employ youth, ages 16 to 18, in natural resources, construction, and park maintenance related projects. Applications can be made online at www.lcfpd.org/assets. Deadline is 4:30 p.m. April 28. Crew members work in teams to build trails and boardwalks, restore natural areas and waterways, and complete basic preserve maintenance projects. Additionally, crew members receive training in first aid, basic work and life skills, construction skills and environmental awareness. The program runs from mid-June through early. Crew members will be selected by a lottery drawing April 29.
