Miner Mike's Adventure Golf Swings Open for the Season on April 8!
DOWNERS GROVE, IL - Miner Mike's Adventure Golf welcomes putt-putters of all ages for outdoor fun starting this spring. Open April 8 to October 9, this 18-hole course is owned and operated by the Downers Grove Park District at McCollum Park located at 6801 Main St., Downers Grove. Spring hours are Fridays from 4:30 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost to play is just $5 per person; ages 3 and under are free with a paying adult. A water wheel, water tower, logs, rocks, mining car and course contours provide mini golf challenges for players of all ages and abilities. To make each game a little more difficult, players can choose to use "mischief spinners" that tell players to perform acts such as putting with their eyes closed or putting behind their backs.
Once you've built up an appetite playing the course, visit the snack shack for some treats. The concession stand is open daily during miniature golf hours. The friendly staff is ready to serve a wide variety of items including hot pretzels, nachos, pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, soft drinks and more. Meal deals featuring entree combo pricing and a choice of drink is also available.

Daily specials and event days provide discounts on golf and concessions such as two-for-Tuesdays where two can play for the price of one, Family Fridays where players receive one free soft-serve ice cream cone with each round of golf from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and Active Adult Mondays where guests ages 55 and better play free as part of paying twosome (grandchildren included). On Mother's Day and Father's Day, moms or dads play free with a paying child. Don't miss Glow Golf on May 27 and Aug. 26, Summer Splash Bash on June 24, Tiki Golf & Luau Party on July 15 and Goblin Golf on Oct. 28.
Looking for a fun location for your next birthday party or company picnic? Miner Mike's offers birthday party packages and rental rates. Located in McCollum Park, Miner Mike's is adjacent to a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields and soccer fields and a large park pavilion. Rental of the park pavilion provides groups with a "buy one, get one free" round of mini golf.
