Baseball: Barrington rallies past St. Charles East

Tyler Acosta's 2-run homer in the top of the sixth inning erased a 1-run deficit and put Barrington's baseball team ahead for good in a 13-10 victory over host St. Charles East on Thursday in nonconference play.

Eric Kozlowski also had a homer, finishing 3-for-5 with 4 RBI as the Broncos piled up 12 hits.

Leadoff man Tyler Trojan had 3 hits, Acosta went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored and Jeff Korus and Justin Walker had 2 hits apiece.

Barrington (9-3) scored 5 runs in the sixth inning to make a winner in relief of Ricky Aievoli.

The Broncos played an error-free game.
