MCC Chorus to join Voices in Harmony in 'Reflections' anniversary concert

McHenry County College students will join in with Voices in Harmony for "Reflections - 30 Years of Community in Song" Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at the Raue Center, 26 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake.

Voices in Harmony reflects on 30 years of great music in the community - transforming, inspiring and affirming.

Winds Off the Lake, a woodwind quintet, will round out the music with additional variety and energy. The ensemble includes Russ Henning, MCC French horn instructor.

Additionally, the concert will present the premiere of "Reflections" by Tom Vos, a new composition written in honor of the choir's 30th anniversary.

Vos grew up in Crystal Lake, and has extensive work in composition and as a studio musician in California. This piece has deep personal meaning for Vos, and much of it was inspired by Crystal Lake, and particularly the city's beautiful namesake lake.

Tickets are $18 and $15 through the Raue Center box office. For tickets or more information, call the Raue Center at (815) 356-9212 or visit voices-in-harmony.org/vih-april-concert-tickets/.
