Oakton Community College art students will showcase their talent in painting, drawing, ceramics, digital art and photography at "OakArt 2017."

This free exhibition opens Thursday, April 6, at the Koehnline Museum of Art, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

The public is invited to a gala reception on opening night from 5 to 8 p.m. "OakArt 2017" runs through Friday, April 27.

"This annual exhibition is an opportunity for our students to demonstrate their artistic achievements," says Nathan Harapz, museum's manager and curator.

"Also, the exhibition reflects the fact that Oakton's art faculty are active artists who inspire and elevate the works of students."

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call (847) 635-2633 or visit www.oakton.edu/museum.
