Hoffman Estates, Palatine to study interconnect of water systems

Hoffman Estates village board members are scheduled to vote Monday, April 3, on a $21,500 contract for Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers of Crystal Lake to conduct a study of whether an emergency interconnect can be built between Hoffman Estates and Palatine's separate water systems.

Hoffman Estates Deputy Village Manager Dan O'Malley said the plan is for Hoffman Estates to pay the full cost of the contract upfront, and then bill Palatine for half its cost.
