Celebrate Culture at Lake Villa District Library

In celebration of Día, LVDL has a unique series of cultural programs for children and families planned in April.

Music Around the World, Monday, April 17 at 1pm is an opportunity to discover the music of different cultures from The World Music Trio. Learn about the charango of South America, the kalimba of Africa, the sitar of India and the shakuhachi of Japan.

Multilingual Storytime, Tuesday, April 18 at 6pm is an hour of stories and songs in Spanish, Polish and English! Celebrate other cultures and learning literacy skills in your home language, whatever it may be!

Ballet Folklórico, Sunday, April 23 at 2pm, is an award-winning Mexican folk dance troupe. Learn about Mexico's rich heritage and music.
