Candidate's postitive accomplishments
Ed Ritter is an outstanding Village President and his continued leadership skills, vision and compassion for all things Carpentersville is exactly what's needed in todays difficult economic and political climate.
As an 18-year resident I have had the pleasure of seeing the many positive accomplishments Mr. Ritter and his team have made for the benefit of our residents.
It wasn't that long ago that the village was noted in the press for gangs, poor roads, bickering board members and inefficient village services. Under Mr. Ritter's leadership we have seen multiple improvements including better infrastructure, clean and improved parks, a commitment to attract new business's with the establishment of a Business Development Commission, and the creation of TIF districts along routes 25 and 31 to attract and retain new business like our new Wal-Mart.
All these many accomplishments were made at the same time village staff was reduced, streamlined and modernized for significant operating efficiencies and cost savings. No wonder the village has been the recipient of national awards for its financial practices several years in a row.
President Ritter has done an outstanding job and deserves re-election on Tuesday.
