A true advocate for library board

I am supporting Susan Diamond for re-election to the Bensenville Library Board because of all she has accomplished during her first term. She successfully advocated for bringing back Saturday hours, developing a steadily growing collection of DVDs and audio books, expanding library collections to include more Spanish and Polish books, increasing adult library programming, and expanding computer classes.

Susan is a true leader, currently serving as library board president and previously as vice president and treasurer. Susan takes the time to attend many of our library programs and has also been instrumental in helping to developing new programs. She is knowledgeable about all areas of library operations and is committed to ensuring that our library is a true community center and resource for all of our residents.

Susan also supports the library and community by serving as representative on the Bensenville Intergovernmental Group as well as being a representative on the Bensenville Community Foundation Board. During my term on the foundation board, I witnessed firsthand the strong commitment she showed as treasurer by ensuring that all financial filings were completed in a timely manner as well as developing various fundraising activities including the foundation's participation in the annual Giving DuPage Human Race.
