Ela Township Community Family Services Offers New Therapy Group

Feeling stressed, anxious and unsure how to cope with life's challenges?

Ela Township Community Family Services will begin a new group, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Group on April 13. This group is FREE to township residents. Register by Tuesday, April 11 by calling (847) 540-8380.

Group sessions will be held every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the lower level of the Ela Town Hall, located at 1155 E. Route 22, in Lake Zurich.

The goal of this group is to help people improve their coping skills for life's challenges. DBT offers useful methods of addressing situations, both those we can change and those we cannot. Each weekly session will concentrate on skill development to improve functioning and quality of life.

Ela Township Community Family Services provides confidential services to Ela Township residents of all ages, at no cost. Our services include but are not limited to:

-Crisis Intervention

-Case Management

-Information & Referral

-Brief Counseling

Situations which may cause personal and family conflicts for youth and individuals that we are able to help with are:

-Domestic Violence

-Substance Abuse

-Grief & Loss

-Homelessness

-Youth and Family

-Mental Health

-Financial Issues

Our qualified staff is involved in many community outreach programs such as the Grief Group, Yoga Nidra, youth and family groups, Zurich Meadow Senior Group and Charity Knit & Crochet. We are actively involved with Ela Coalition Against Youth Substance Abuse, Lake County Opioid Initiative, and other organizations in the township and throughout Lake County. We receive referrals from the local police and fire departments, District 95 Schools, churches and individuals.
