Rolling Meadows Library expansion project starts early
Construction on Rolling Meadows Library's 1,625-square-foot addition will start Thursday - earlier than the originally planned start time in May.
During construction, parking will be prohibited in the west lot, which will be used for contractor staging. Traffic through the west lot will be one-way from Library Road to Martin Lane, but there will be no entry to the library from Martin Lane. The west wing of the library will be closed, but librarians will help patrons retrieve books in that area, officials said.
The $797,000 project, which will add two meeting rooms and a flexible use room, is set for completion in July.
