Taps flowing at Elk Grove Village's first microbrewery

The taps are flowing at Elk Grove Village's first microbrewery.

Mikerphone Brewing opened its doors last weekend to long lines of beer drinkers, and owner and founder Mike Pallen expects more of the same.

The brewery at 121 Garlisch Drive serves up music-inspired beers such as Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit, Nature's Candy, a peach Berliner Weisse and Mikerphone Check 1, 2 — a double dry-hopped double India pale ale.

The tap room is open 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The brewery serves snacks but encourages customers to bring in their own food.

Like its beers, the tap room at the new Mikerphone Brewing in Elk Grove Village has a music-inspired theme. The tap room is open 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Courtesy of Elk Grove Village
