Break out of your shell at Family Egg Decorating Night

Get creative with colors and a dozen hard-boiled eggs during Schaumburg Park District's Family Egg Decorating Night, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.

The event is set for 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., April 6, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. A variety of supplies will be available for decorating, with a flashlight egg hunt in Safety Park while the eggs dry. Crafts and games are planned before the hunt.

"We have some great decorating items-all you need to bring are the eggs," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. "Decorating eggs here at the CRC is so much fun and less messy than doing it at home."

In addition to hard-boiled eggs, participants should bring flashlights.

Cost is $7 per child for residents and $9 per child for non-residents.
