Splash into springtime with Underwater EGGstravaganza

Have a swimmingly good time hunting for eggs at the Schaumburg Park District's indoor water park.

Open to children ages 1 and older, Underwater EGGstravaganza is set for 6-8 p.m., April 13, at The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

After swimming and finding eggs, participants may exchange their hauls for goodie bags. Activities include a DJ, games and refreshments.

An adult "bunny dash" also is planned, along with a special appearance by the Bunny.

"It's an exciting night of swimming, music and springtime fun," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor.

Hunts will take place by age. The hunt schedule includes:

• 6:15 p.m. (2 and younger)

• 6:30 p.m. (3-4 years)

• 6:45 p.m. (5-6 years)

• 7 p.m. (7-8 years)

• 7:15 p.m. (9 and older)

Participants should bring baskets or buckets for collecting eggs. Cost is $12 per child for residents and $18 per child for non-residents. Registration deadline is April 12.
