COD to Host 'Higher Education for Incarcerated Students' Symposium April 21

College of DuPage will host the "Higher Education for Incarcerated Students" symposium from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 21, in the Culinary and Hospitality Center, Room 1020 on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This event is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the COD and the College's Liberal Arts Division, this discussion of higher education and college programming for students in prison or jail will focus on institutional partnerships, short- and long-term impacts, and community needs throughout Illinois. The symposium will include featured speakers Rebecca Ginsburg, Director of the Education Justice Project at the University of Illinois and Judy Davis, Superintendent of the Illinois Youth Center-Warrenville.
