Business Wire

TINLEY PARK - Panduit Corp. recently participated at the Optical Networking and Communication Conference and Exhibition at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

During the technical conference, Panduit contributed two presentations that summarize recent advancements made in the field of data center communications. While at the exhibition, Panduit will also demonstrate some of its leading-edge fiber optic communications products.

At the technical conference, Dr. Jose Castro, Research Manager, Fiber Optics presented at the Data Center Interconnect Technologies and Detectors/Receivers session. Castro's first presentation titled "Eye Skew Modeling, Measurements and Mitigation Methods for VCSEL PAM-4 Channels at Data Rates over 66 Gb/s", describes the causes of signal degradation and proposes mitigation techniques in VCSEL based directly modulated PAM-4 channels. His second presentation, titled "Spectral-temporal Imaging Techniques for Real Time Characterization of High Speed VCSEL Mode Interaction" presents a novel technique to characterize a critical source of noise in VCSEL based transceivers.

"These two technical contributions demonstrate our long-standing commitment to original research and collaboration with industry leaders," said Andy Stroede, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Panduit Research and Development. "Enabled by our world-class fiber optics laboratory, these studies connect fundamental principles to the most important factors limiting the reaches of the highest performance multimode fiber communication systems."
