Elmhurst school holds Cap Day fundraiser

Students and staff members at Elmhurst Unit District 205's Bryan Middle School recently participated in a Cap Day program that raised $650 for Caps for Kids, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to giving caps signed by athletes and celebrities to children battling cancer.

Participants were encouraged to donate $1 to the organization and wear a hat of their choice.

Student council members planned the fundraiser, had all students watch a video explaining the idea behind it, collected money, and gave stickers to everyone who donated.

Heather Bolur is the Student Council Club sponsor.
