See 'Winnie the Pooh' on stage in Palatine

Palatine Park District's Family Friendly Theatre program will bring one of the many beloved adventures of Winnie the Pooh to Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 250 E. Wood St., in Palatine Monday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m.

A very special Friend-and-Relation tells Christopher Robin a story of a birthday very long ago when Eeyore, the old gray donkey who lives by himself in the Hundred-Acre Wood, was absolutely miserable. It seems that he lost his tail and Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet got all of their friends and a search was organized..

"Family Friendly Theatre brings interactive and enjoyable productions that are fun for both youth and parents in our community," says Ashley Schiavone, Cultural Arts coordinator at Palatine Park District.

"Over the last year, we have been working to make this program even more community oriented by featuring local talent."

Family Friendly Theatre productions offer a convenient local option for introducing children to the theatrical experience, as well as providing adults in the community the opportunity to perform on a local stage.

"'Winnie the Pooh' stories have been entertaining for more than 90 years," says Family Friendly Theatre Director Julie Price. "The quirky, lovable characters and the animated language within the story draws children in and teaches many life lessons. Our actors are looking forward to bringing these characters to life as they sing and dance their way through the Hundred-Acre Wood on stage."

Tickets are $6 per person and can be purchased in person at the box office, by phone at (847) 202-5222, or online at cuttinghall.org. • Submit 'Your News' at www.dailyherald.com/share.
