CLC to show documentary on Iraq War veterans
"Almost Sunrise," an award-winning documentary that examines two Iraq War veterans who embark on a 2,700-mile walk from Milwaukee to Los Angeles to help themselves heal from their combat experiences, will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, in the A Wing Auditorium at College of Lake County.
A question-and-answer discussion with Anthony and Holly Anderson will follow the film screening on the school's Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. Anthony is profiled in the film, which explores how he and Tom Voss battled post-traumatic stress disorder, suicidal thoughts and other issues.
Admission is free, but a $5 donation is suggested to benefit nonprofit veterans groups and the Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force.
