District 54 appoints six assistant principals

Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 school board members have appointed six new assistant principals for the 2017-18 academic year.

Ed Garza, currently an associate principal and athletic director at Heineman Middle School in Algonquin, will become assistant principal at Mead Junior High in Elk Grove Village.

C.J. Schmid, dean of students at West Aurora High School, will move to Frost Junior High in Schaumburg.

Colleen Conway, literary coach at the district's Armstrong School, will serve at Campanelli and Fox schools.

Bob Wroblewski, a physical education teacher at Churchill School in Schaumburg, will serve both Dirksen and Dooley schools.

Sonia Esquivael, a language instructional coach in the district, will serve at both Enders-Salk and MacArthur schools.

Carrie Azab, a special services teacher at Nerge School in Roselle, will move to Hanover Highlands School.
