Hanover Park McDonald's Hosts McTeacher's Night to help Waterbury Elementary School

On Thursday, March 16, Waterbury Elementary School held their third annual McTeacher's Night at the Hanover Park McDonald's on Lake Street.

A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the school.

The restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for Waterbury. The students and families were excited to see their teachers and Principal working at the restaurant.

The McTeacher jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, serving ice cream and even dressing up in a pie costume-all duties which were executed with great enthusiasm.

Mrs. Chlopecki, Mrs. Jensen and Vice Principal Kim all took a turn wearing the pie costume while Principal Guzan "clucked "like a chicken when a pie was sold. This made the evening even more enjoyable for the students of Waterbury Elementary.

A special thank you goes to Principal, Dr. Guzan who organized the event as well as everyone that worked and attended the event.

Waterbury Elementary School McTeacher's worked hard and with excitement, while the families also enjoyed a great night.

Waterbury plans to use the over $700.00 raised to go into the general fund to help with extra activities at the school.
