College of DuPage Board of Trustees Approves New Intergovernmental Agreement with Village of Glen Ellyn

At its March 16 meeting, the College of DuPage Board of Trustees approved a new Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Village of Glen Ellyn. Under the agreement, which will still need approval by DuPage County, the Village would assume future control over administrative and regulatory matters including building codes, zoning, sign codes and liquor licensing. "Under its new leadership, the College has been moving forward to rebuild trust with the Village of Glen Ellyn, and we believe this agreement is an important step forward in both organizations being good neighbors," said COD Board Chairman Deanne Mazzochi. "We thank the College of DuPage, Village of Glen Ellyn and DuPage County staff members for their hard work to make this agreement happen."

College of DuPage President Ann Rondeau said, "One of my first priorities when coming onboard in July was to reengage with our host village. I have found the current Village Leadership to be an excellent group of professionals and exemplary neighbors. This agreement will allow the College and the Village of Glen Ellyn to reestablish ties and interact in a responsible manner that is mutually beneficial to both parties and the taxpayers we serve."
