March 30: CLC STEM Speaker Series highlights how memories are formed

Discover the latest research in how the brain functions during behavior and learning at the College of Lake County STEM Speaker Series at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 30.

The speaker, Dr. William Frost, is professor and department chair of cell biology and anatomy at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. In his presentation, "Watching memories form: Imaging brain networks during behavior and learning," Dr. Frost will discuss results from his latest research that explains how neuronal participation in highly stereotypic motor programs can vary moment-to-moment and trial-to-trial.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Room A011, the Lower Level A Wing Auditorium at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. Please preregister at www.clcillinois.edu/STEM.

This event is a part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Speaker Series, which is free and open to students of all ages, faculty, staff as well as interested community members. The series' next event is the STEM Innovation Fair on May 4.
