Mount Prospect to resume electronics recycling drop-off April 5

Mount Prospect will resume electronics recycling drop-off April 5 at the Mount Prospect Public Works Facility, 1700 W. Central Road. The collection time will be 10 a.m. to noon.

The village is offering the event in partnership with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC).

The events, which have been held during the past five years, have resulted in the drop-off of more than 250,000 pounds of electronics.

Village residents and those in SWANCC member communities can drop off electronics every Wednesday from April through October between 10 a.m. and noon. Items brought to public works before or after that time will not be collected.

For more information, contact the public works department at (847) 870-5640 or publicworksdept@mountprospect.org.
