Celebrate St. Patrick's at The Claddagh in Geneva

Even if you're not Irish, there is plenty of St. Patrick's Day celebrating for everyone this week up and down the Randall Road corridor.

On St. Patrick's Day itself, Friday, March 17, The Claddagh Irish Pub along Randall Road in Geneva will be holding its biggest party of the year.

The fun at the bar and restaurant, which is located in Geneva Commons, begins at 11 a.m. and in typical Irish fashion goes all day long.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the restaurant, at 1702 Commons Drive, will feature live music from performers Celtic Sounds.

Throughout the day, there will be Irish food and drink available for patrons to partake in.

Beginning at 3 p.m., DJ Mindmonic will entertain guests until 5 p.m.

The Irish Dancers from the Rebecca McCarthy School of dance will perform traditional Irish dance from 5 to 6 p.m.

Then for the rest of the night, from 7 to 11 p.m., there will be live music from Close Enough.

And just because the official date for St. Patrick's Day will be over, doesn't mean the festivities will end.

The fun at The Claddagh will start up again at noon the next day, March 18.

From noon until 4 p.m. there will be live music from Peter and Katie Whalen.

The Rebecca McCarthy dancers will be back again from 5 to 6 p.m.

Mulligan Stew will perform live music from 7 to 11 p.m.

For information on the events call The Claddagh at (630) 208-0337.

For the younger crowd:

If you're up for a slightly tamer St. Patrick's Day celebration with your little Irish princesses, you may want to head to the new Besties Girls Spa in Geneva Commons.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m. on St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March 17, the spa is holding Lucky You We're Having A Party.

No reservations are needed for the event, which will feature a free polish change, braiding, makeup and dancing.

The spa is geared toward girls ages 3 to 18, which means many different sized Irish princesses can attend the party.

They are welcome to stop by any time during that 5:30 to 8 p.m. period.

Besties is encouraging girls to wear their lucky green that day.

For information call (630) 587-2378.

Besties is at 1536 Commons Drive.

Remodeling at Biaggi's:

For all of you Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano fans out there, be warned, the restaurant will be closing for a few days in April for an interior refresh.

The restaurant along the Randall Road corridor in Algonquin will close from April 3 to 6 for the aesthetic revamp.

Don't worry, though. It will reopen after the four-day hiatus with a new look.

Biaggi's is at 1524 N. Randall Road.

For information call the restaurant at (847) 658-5040.
