District 127 travel scholarship

Grayslake High School District 127 board members have named an international travel scholarship fund for students in honor of a retiring superintendent. Officials said donated money from the fund named for Catherine Finger will be awarded to students each year to promote learning about other cultures through study and from the personal experience gained by international travel. Finger has long supported student travel. As a classroom Spanish teacher, she led students on many overseas adventures and has since empowered District 127 instructors to create travel experiences for students. Donations can be sent to the Grayslake High School District 127 in care of the Dr. Catherine Finger International Student Travel Scholarship Fund at 400 N. Lake St., Grayslake, Illinois, 60030.
