Marian Rodriguez wins GLMV volunteer of year award

The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce named Marian Rodriguez of Carstar Mundelein, the GLMV Chamber Champion - Volunteer of the Year 2016.

“Marian is a true star, who always puts forth extra effort to benefit the local business community, said Jim Butler, GLMV Chairman. “She always goes the extra mile or more as a volunteer to assist with whatever needs to be done for an event.”

A strong supporter of the GLMV Chamber for many years, Rodriguez has served on numerous committees. As silent auction chair for the annual dinner, each year she tirelessly reaches out to her contacts, obtains and collects a record number of prize donations, and sets up the auction tables, which helps support the chamber.

Marian also serves on the new GLMV Women Supporting Women Networking Group board, assisting with social media, photography and various other activities.
