I have served on the soundproofing committee and have fought to get 300 homes soundproofing within the 4th ward. I drove down to Springfield, IL to obtain a low interest rate loan for the City to help fund the remodeling of the City of Wood Dale Wastewater Treatment Plant. I have also been involved in all city functions that involve the community and I am currently the chairman of the Greener Tomorrow committee which provides recycling to the residents of the City and hosts the annual Green Fair.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.I feel as if the taxes within the community are just right because our area, DuPage County, tries to make it affordable for people to live within compared to other counties.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?I believe that the Wood Dale Police and Fire Departments provide excellent service within the community. I believe that they are prepared for the most part for the next decade because they are always updating to the newest technology, however I would like to see body cameras worn by the local police department.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?We have never had a deficit within the city budget and I feel as if the budget covers all areas equally as the needs appear within those areas.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to see some type of recreational activities for the youth to come to the community, such as a movie theater, roller skating rink or skate park.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?#ERROR!Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Greg Vesta, Wood Dale Police Chief, because he is always willing to serve the community and I respect that.What is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Move forward with the goals that you setIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would spend more time with the family members that I love.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Math was my favorite subject and it allowed me to budget my financial spending in my life better.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Go to school and get and education because education is the key to success.
