Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.The biggest challenge we face in the next four years will be to hold the line on local taxes. This can only be done by helping local businesses to grow and attracting additional commercial development to enhance our tax base.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Like every citizen I am concerned about public safety. Every indication is that our police and fire departments are performing in an exemplary manor and they deserve our support in their efforts.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Since the Great Recession Aurora has lost a substantial portion of its assessed evaluation and has worked hard to balance its budget.
