I believe that as a Trustee, my skills as a psychotherapist which consistently utilize active listening,critical thinking and facilitation of conflict solutions, will be very valuable to ensure teamwork and collaboration between residents and Village Board.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.For now just right; however there is a concern with Illinois' current financial situation that the flow down of responsibility from State to Township is a possibility. If that were to happen we need to be aware and ready.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?The increase in traffic has impacted not only the resident safety, but our wildlife, as well. I am extremely concerned that our private security ability to respond quickly, which has been compromised due to this administrations self-serving contract negotiations with the CountyWhere, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I believe that our need to bid out Mettawa projects must stay intact and not be an area to be bipassed by any administration, as has been the case with the current administration.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?Various types of pollution; that include but are not exclusive to air quality, noise and light pollution, that effect the health and well being of our families that live along the tollway.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?I am invested in finding a way to raise resident awareness and participation to ensure openness and transparency in governing.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Bernie SandersWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?As one of the youngest siblings, to stand up for ones rightsIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would keep it exactly the same.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?History Literature...To understand and articulate that certain elements of history must not be repeated.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Stand up for yourselves and the less fortunate
