Swing into spring at Schaumburg Golf Club

A mild winter means hitting the links earlier this year, with Schaumburg Golf Club opening Friday, March 17. Tee times begin at 8 a.m.

Golfers may take advantage of special spring rates through April 16. Details are available at Schaumburggolf.com. For the first time ever, the course will be open at 9 a.m. on Mondays to help keep up with demand, said Jon Parsons, operations manager for Schaumburg Golf Club.

The 27-hole championship course is one of the premier destinations for golf in the northwest suburbs. The course includes manicured bent grass tees, fairways and greens. Smooth terrain and generous playing conditions allow for the course to be played from 6,097 to 6,700 yards.

Other features of Schaumburg Golf Club include:

• Practice range

• Full-service pro shop

• Professional golf instruction

• Chandler's Chophouse

The Club is located at 401 N. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Walnut Greens, the District's 9-hole par 3 executive course, will open at a later date.
