Hanover Township Foundation receives $4,000 donation

Balance Family Chiropractic recently presented a donation of $4,000 to the Hanover Township officials to benefit the Township Food Pantry.

"Dr. Ackerman and her practice have always been strong supporters of the township and our programs for our most vulnerable residents," said Brain P. McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor.

"With the food pantry primarily running on donations from the community to stock its shelves, this donation comes at the right time to help so many of our neighbors."

On average, the pantry experiences more than 720 visits per month and serves residents in the communities of Bartlett, Elgin, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Streamwood and portions of unincorporated Cook County.

In addition to the monetary donation, BFC patients and staff sponsored 25 children through the township's holiday gift program.

"It is such a blessing to give back to those in need. My staff and I were excited with the increased donations this year and the new patients we helped at the same time," said Dr. Robin Ackerman.

"Our goal is to double this amount next year, as we continue to grow our practice into a new facility. I encourage other local physician offices and small businesses to join us in this mission of service."

Balance Family Chiropractic, a pediatric and family practice in Bartlett, is dedicated to helping others through natural health education and community outreach.
