Schaumburg delays decision on hauling trailers

The village of Schaumburg's planning, building and development committee has postponed its recommendation of new regulations governing the size of hauling trailers that can be parked long-term in residential driveways until its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at village hall, 101 Schaumburg Court.

Trustee Jack Sullivan, who chairs the committee, said it's still his intention to limit the scope of the new regulations to hauling trailers alone and leave RVs and other types of larger vehicles as unregulated as they have been.

The committee must recommend a course of action to the village board before such a change can be forwarded to the zoning board of appeals for further review.
