Calling all book lovers: Join Nature Book Group!

Calling all book-lovers and nature enthusiasts: join a Nature Book Group!

Every month, they will discuss a book about the environment, nature or related topics, and cover a broad range of environmental issues. Varying viewpoints are welcome.

Simply read the book(s) in advance, and come ready for a lively and informative discussion!

"Nature Book Group" programs take place at Creek Bend Nature Center, located within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St. in St. Charles.

Upcoming books include:

• "Hot, Flat and Crowded" by Thomas Friedman from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 13; or 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15.

• "The Botany of Desire" by Michael Pollan from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 17; or 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19.

• "The Unsettling of America" by Wendell Barry from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 15 or 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17.

• "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 12; or 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14.
